What is Pip Cue

Pip Cue is a Chrome extension that puts videos into picture-in-picture mode and surfaces their captions. There are three modes - a one-click Standard PiP that floats Chrome's native window on top, a Cinematic PiP with full controls and live subtitles, and a Captions Only mode that shows just the words. There's also a save-to-watch feature: 20 timestamped bookmarks, free and local; opt into Google sign-in to sync them across devices.

Why it exists

We were tired of losing our place in videos and juggling tabs just to watch something while working. Chrome's built-in PiP is fast, but it doesn't know what you actually need - speed control, an A-B loop, a captions-only window for studying, a bookmark that remembers the timestamp. Pip Cue is the upgrade you didn't know was missing.
